Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey believes National Women’s Hockey League is a monumental step forward for women’s hockey in India. The inaugural edition of the tournament will begin at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Tuesday. Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Mizoram, Manipur and Odisha will take part.
