Chief Standing Bear of the Osage Nation spoke to students at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, La. on Mar. 27, 2024. Standing Bear said the tribe is putting money into their language program, expanding food sovereignty, affordable housing, and police protection. He said that every community, even those that aren’t Native American, needs to have a butcher house.
