Australia's Prime Minister Describes Domestic Violence As a "National Crisis"

Thousands protested in cities around Australia on Sunday to draw attention to the deaths of 27 women so far this year. There were 17 rallies held across Australia over the weekend, with an estimated 15,000 people demonstrating in the city of Melbourne. Albanese said on Monday the rallies were a call to action for all levels of Australian government to do more to prevent gender-based violence.
