Australia produces just one per cent of the world's solar panels. But on Thursday, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced a $1 billion to support the manufacture of solar panels at home. Smart Energy Council CEO John Grimes says it could pave the way for further reindustrialisation in other sectors necessary for a clean energy transition.
