On Wednesday, April 24, the Marion city council and Williamson County board of commissioners finalized a joint agreement to build the new sports complex. It’s expected to host both local and traveling baseball, softball and soccer teams. The entire project is set to be completed by spring 2025.

The fourth McKeever Sports Queen’s University Future Stars team was announced on Tuesday evening at a gala dinner in the Whitla Hall. There are two players included in the selection – Loughgiel’s Eddie Smyth and Cushendall’s Fionntán Bradley. Cross and Passion have had at least three players on each of the four future Stars hurling teams announced to date. At the other end of the spectrum are five schools gaining their first awards.
