Virginia lawmakers have derailed the plan to bring the Washington Capitals and Wizards to Northern Virginia after leaving it out of the state budget this year. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin still has the option to call for a special session in April.

Victoria Park Cricket Proposal
Auckland Cricket Association’s plans to move to the Merton Rd complex in Glen Innes make sense. The Auckland council owns Victoria Park (and the Tank Farm), removing many of the political obstacles. It’s intriguing that New Zealand Cricket chose not to respond to Cleaver’s request for comment but that has more to do with politics than not liking the plan.
