According to an EY report, 94% of women holding what are known as C-suite positions are former athletes, with 52% having played at a university level. A United Nations report on women and gender equity notes that “women in sport leadership can shape attitudes toward women’s capabilities as leaders and decision-makers, especially in traditional male domains”

BMCC Supports Pendleton Sports Complex
BMCC has state funding to begin work on the infrastructure for the Pendleton Sports Complex on the west side of town. Blue Mountain Community College is one of its supporters in the project. There is no regulation-sized soccer field in pendleton. The complex will make a big difference for youth baseball, softball, and soccer teams.
