Monumental Sports & Entertainment has opened a new headquarters and studio for its regional sports network. MSE bought the network from NBCUniversal in August 2022, rebranded it to Monumental sports Network, launched a direct-to-consumer streaming option and now opened the multi-million-dollar facility. Monumental’s fans interact with the company and its teams through linear television.

UNI Athletics Announces New General Manager of Panther Sports Properties
The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Athletics has extended its multimedia rights relationship with Learfield – the media and technology company powering college sports. In addition, learfield has appointed Mike Murray the new general manager of its Panther Sports Properties team. The Panthers have been partners for nearly two decades with the industry leader representing UNI through 2030 in the renewed agreement.

Minute Media says it will continue to release the print edition of Sports Illustrated. A lot of us become sports fans when we’re kids. That means plenty of people who are now adults flipped through Sportsillustrated when they were young and still feel attached to it. College Sports - The Future of March Madness
All the biggest decisions in college sports stem from the biggest conferences in football trying to squeeze more money out of TV rights. The most likely short-term shift appears to be expanding the tournament from its current 68 teams to somewhere between 76 and 80. Most coaches, at least in public, agree players are long overdue to receive some sort of payday as the main cogs in what has become a multibillion-dollar entertainment industry.
