Sports Betting Still Stuck in Oklahoma
In Oklahoma, more than $3 billion has been legally bet on sports in the U.S. since the 2018 Supreme Court decision, with nearly $5 billion collected in state and local taxes, according to legalsportsreport.com. In Arkansas, which has 10 casinos — including several in the Kansas City metro area — more than $753 million has been bet with $10.7 million collected in tax revenue since it became legal there in July 2022. The bill, HB 1027, is currently in the Senate Rules Committee.
