Binghamton University Students Are Using Data Science to Improve Food Access
The digital and data studies program at Binghamton University has teamed up with a local organization to address food insecurity. The mutually beneficial connection has helped make great strides in improving food access to the local area. It all started when the Broome County Food Council surveyed community members on food-related issues.

Harvard Dean Jeremy M. Weinstein
Jeremy M. Weinstein will become dean of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government on July 1. He is currently the Kleinheinz Professor of International Studies at Stanford University and a senior fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Hubble Asteroid Hunter Detects 1,031 Unknown Asteroids
More than 1,000 never-before-seen space rocks have been discovered in the solar system after secretly photobombing images of the cosmos. A combination of artificial intelligence and citizen scientists helped uncover the asteroids hiding in archival photos from the Hubble Space Telescope, a new study shows. Scientists have already discovered more than 1.3 million of the space rocks, most of which lie in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Webster Endowed Chair in Immunology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, has been recognized as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Chi will be formally inducted Sept. 21 during the organization’s annual Fellows Forum in Washington D.C.
