CCPS Science Fair Awards
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) held its eighth annual History, Industry, Technology and Science Expo on Saturday, March 9, at St. Charles High School. The science fair projects were categorized by Behavioral/Medicine and Health Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Life Science, and Physics and Astronomy. Special awards were also given to eligible students.

Life-Science Space in Greater Boston - A New Look at the Future
In two years, the amount of lab space in Greater Boston has ballooned by 57 percent, according to research from real estate brokerage firm Colliers. In 2021, biopharma companies in Massachusetts received a staggering $13.7 billion in venture capital funding, up 70 percent from 2020. Somerville alone approved more than 600,000 square feet of life-science projects, and has 2 million more square feet due to come online within the next year.

Hudson County STEM Showcase
Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, hosted the 33rd annual Hudson County STEM Showcase. More than 400 students showcased their projects across 22 categories, ranging from environmental science to advanced robotics. The winners will be announced during a special ceremony on March 25.
