Sensory-Friendly Sundays in South Florida
MODS is open an hour early for sensory-friendly Museum exploration and activities followed by an IMAX film at 12:30 p.m. To provide a more sensory-sensitive environment for individuals on the autism spectrum, the theater lights will be turned up and the sound will be lowered. All films will be presented in 2D. No trailers will be shown before the movie.

After a strong showing against East Lakota (OH), Daniel Boone faced Dobyns-Bennett in a championship matchup. Science Hill squeaked past Tennessee High, 2-1 in the final game of the night.

A recent study in mice suggests the liver is key in a molecular link that may also cause humans with diabetes to develop Alzheimer’s disease. In type 2 diabetes, the body becomes over-taxed by processing food and people develop an inability to easily turn food into energy. This is often prevented by maintaining healthy white and sometimes treated with weight loss but it currently affects up to 1 in 10 U.S. adults.

What to Look For in a Lunar Eclipse
The penumbral lunar eclipse will occur 24-25 March 2024. It will occur over all of the US, South America and Canada, the UK, much of Africa, North and East Asia, western Australia, the Arctic and Antarctica. For places further west than Chicago, the Sun will rise at 6am GMT on 25 March, so the Moon will be below the horizon when it reaches the maximum extent.

Agate Fossil Beds National Monument
The Walton Family took turns trying on the special “big ears” experiment. They learned that some animals, like dogs, with funnel style ears can hear distant sounds. Their ears point in one direction and collect sound just like a lens collects light. This was the second year the duo provided science fun at the monument.
