CIDD-0149830 Shows Promise in Animal Studies for Schistosoma
The spread of schistosomiasis, a disease responsible for nearly 12,000 deaths globally each year, has been documented in 78 nations. There is currently no vaccine available for the disease, which comes with severe clinical symptoms. The drug praziquantel is used for treatment.

Science Fair at Prairie River Junior High
Grade 8 students at Prairie River Junior High School promoted their projects at the school’s annual science fair March 7. The fair changed directions from previous years, says teacher Keith Davidson. Top projects did not automatically qualify for the Peace Regional Science Fair as they did in the past, Davidson says.

Drink Less app can help people who are high-risk drinkers by allowing them to set goals, record how much they drink, and log their mood and sleep quality after drinking.
