About 152 people across 30 counties in West Virginia have been exposed to measles, state health officials said. The patient was someone who was undervaccinated and had a history of recent international travel. Of the exposed individuals, 62% don't have documentation proving they are protected against the virus. As of Friday, 128 cases have been reported in 19 states.

The Sheriff’s Office operates and manages the jails, but works closely with the Health Department's Corrections Health Division to provide medical care to the adults in custody. Beginning in May 2023, seven people died in custody, said Sheriff Nicole Morrisey O’Donnell as she read the names of those who died and their causes of death. Three people died by suicide; one from natural causes; and two by fentanyl toxicity; One death remains under investigation.

Nevada Health Link says it will extend its special enrollment period through the end of November. The extension was made in response to the ongoing Medicaid eligibility redetermination process that resumed in April 2023.
