Rock County Public Health (RCPH) warns the community of possible exposure to measles. A Dane County individual spent time in Rock County while infectious. RCPH, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Public Health Madison and & County work to identify and notify people who may have been exposed to the virus.

The Canadian Press - Demetrio Jackson
Demetrio Jackson was arrested after responding to a trespassing call in a parking lot in Wisconsin. Officers had shocked him with a Taser and pinned him as he pleaded that he couldn't breathe. Then, officers moved Jackson to his side so a medic could inject him with potent knockout drug.

Toxic Drug Warning for the South Okanagan
Interior Health has issued a toxic drug warning for the whole South Okanagan after multiple overdoses. The warning does not name a particular type of drug related to the overdose. None of the reports have been fatal according to the release. It is the first toxic drug alert for the region since 2023.

Victorian Government Schools to Offer Free Period Health Education
Education Minister Ben Carroll recently announced at least 400 in person education sessions will be given to students in Years 5 to 10. The sessions will include curriculum-aligned, age-appropriate and evidence-based information about menstrual health and pelvic pain. Students will develop skills and confidence to recognise when and how to seek help and support.
