ASEAN-Australia Special Summit - President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.
Marcos made the call during the leaders’ plenary session at the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne. Marcos said having a closer collaboration with Australia on key sectors would provide Filipinos and ASEAN citizens a “strongly rooted, comfortable, and secure future” Marcos also invited Australia to partner with the Philippines in the clean, green, and renewable energy industry.

C-Section Procedures in Private Hospitals in Punjab
obstetricians carried out nearly 80 per cent of the total C-section procedures covered by Sehat Sahulat Programme from 2016 to January 2024. Of the total cases, 525,619 procedures were carried out in the private facilities, while the government hospitals all over the province. This huge difference has shocked many independent observers in the medical community, who demand an independent probe into the matter.

Nigerian Healthcare Workers Fleeing the Country
Nigeria's National Cancer Prevention and Control Plan (2018-2022) revealed that cancer is responsible for 72,000 deaths in the country annually, with a reported 102,000 new cases each year. As of 18 February, deaths from Lassa Fever had risen to 84 from 476 confirmed cases according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. Nigerian government has now said it would go after rats through a deratisation project.
