Essentia Health in Fosston informed the city that they would be pausing labor and delivery services at the hospital. In June of 2022, Essenty Health told the city they were planning to end labor services. The city believes Essentitia wasn’t being completely honest with them.

Connecticut Legislators Want to Make It Easier For People to Start a Family
Connecticut lawmakers are considering House Bill 5378, which provides equal access to health insurance for infertility treatments no matter gender, sexual orientation, or marital status. Right now, single people or LGBTQ+ couples can’t qualify for some insurance because they aren’t legally “infertile” according to the state’s definition.

Type 2 Diabetes - Free Diabetes Self-Management Classes in Las Vegas
An estimated 269,783 people in Nevada, or nearly 11% of the adult population, have been diagnosed with diabetes. An additional 70,000 people have diabetes but don’t know it. The prevalence of diabetes among adults in Clark County is currently 9.8%, equivalent to 234,342 residents. This marks a 15.4% increase in adults with diabetes since 2011.

The Early Expansion of VA Health Care Benefits for Pennsylvania Veterans
Jack Stonesifer was an 18-year-old freshman at Marshall University when he enlisted in the West Virginia National Guard. He served as an Army paralegal in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in 2021. Every day, he finds it hard to breathe due to respiratory issues. The VA helped him quickly set up an appointment for him this month.

Residents in Bicester are among those who will see mobile clinics being set up in supermarket car parks. The programme is sending invitations to people who live near the clinics. Anyone aged 18 and above, who chooses to partake in the programme, will see clinic doctors for a blood sample and physical measurement tests.
