The Youth Wellness Initiative (YWI) is a local student-led project working to “better understand the mental health needs of high school youth across the region”. The five-episode series, called “Re:Frame of Mind,” is now live and available for listening on the IPR website, as well as on Spotify, Apple Podcasts.

Vicki Girard co-founded the Health Justice Alliance in 2016, a collaboration between the medical and law centers. UCL researchers analyzed data from 126,000 participants aged 40 to 69 years old from the UK Biobank cohort. Participants had been asked whether they were treated for amblyopia in childhood and if they still had the condition in adulthood. Their BMI (body mass index), blood glucose, and cholesterol levels were also measured and mortality was tracked.
