California Health Care Bill - Will it die a Silent Death?

The Legislature’s analysis of the bill says “private equity acquisitions in health care have exploded” The trend results “in higher health care costs, poor quality and less access to care” The battle involves some of the heaviest hitters in the state’s big-money political influence game.

Walmart Health Clinics Closed
Walmart announced the closure of all its health clinics and related telehealth services. The Arkansas-based retailer said it decided to shutter all 51 Walmart Health centers and the Walmart Health Virtual Care offerings after realizing it wasn't a sustainable business model.

Boston Children's Hospital is now part of the health plan's pay-for-equity financial payment model. Blue Cross has one of the country's largest pediatric primary care physician organizations, with more than 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and integrated behavioral health providers.
