In addition, most private plans must cover ten categories of “essential health benefits” such as prescription drugs, including tamoxifen, raloxifène, and aromatase inhibitors. Most women of reproductive age with Medicare are more likely to be Black or Hispanic, have lower incomes, be in worse health, and experience functional and cognitive impairment.
