The physician scheduled David for an MRI, wrote a prescription for muscle relaxers and recommended they return for a follow-up visit the next week to go over his results. After several days spent in the hospital and a brief return home, David was admitted to Miller’s Merry Manor in Garret with Parkview Home Health and Hospice.

Seton Medical Center to Close for 9 Months
Seton Medical Center’s Coastside emergency room in Moss Beach is set to temporarily close for nine months beginning Monday, April 1. County Supervisor Ray Mueller said he was “deeply troubled” by Seton’s “lack of public transparency” about the need to close the emergency room at all. “You have people coming in who are suffering, who may be having a heart attack. They could have a whole myriad of acute ailments that require a visit to an emergency room,” Mueller said.

More than three-quarters of sudden infant deaths involved multiple unsafe sleep practices. The majority of deaths occurred in babies less than 3 months old. Soft bedding was common among all the infants who died. Exposure to cigarette smoke during pregnancy was more common among infants.

UNC Health Signs New Multi-Year Agreement With UnitedHealthcare
UNC Health has signed a new, long-term contract with UnitedHealthcare. The multi-year deal will allow United members across North Carolina to continue receiving uninterrupted care from UNC health providers, clinics and hospitals.
