Coca-Cola UK, Formula One Marketing and Reckitt are among the slowest payers to small businesses in Britain. Good Business Pays analysed public filings from more than 5,000 companies to identify slow and late payers. The findings come weeks before the government is due to implement new measures to tackle the issue.

Vodafone's Irish business unit is to create 120 jobs in the next four years. 70 of those jobs will be created before the end of this year, with €16 million invested. Start Up Loans, part of the British Business Bank, says it has delivered more than £140 million of loans to UK entrepreneurs aged 50-plus since its inception in 2012. The survey was conducted as official data showed that Japan’s economy fell into a technical recession in the fourth quarter of last year.
