San Miguel Corp (SMC) Earnings Rise 67% to PHP44.7 billion (£632 million)
Philippine-based corporation reported net income surge to PHP44.7 billion (£632 million) up from £379 million (£26.8 billion) last year. Sharpening up its operational efficiencies and sustainability initiatives has also reportedly contributed to a 34% rise in consolidated operating income to PHP144.5 billion. According to local reports, the food and beverage industries generated revenues of PHP379.8 billion ($5.4 billion), up 6% from the previous year, with all business units reporting sales growth.
