World Happiness Report: The United States Slips Out of the Top 20
The United States fell from 15th in 2023 to 23rd in this year’s World Happiness Report. The country’s results varied dramatically among different age groups. Young people under 30 ranking 62nd of 143 countries for happiness, while adults age 60 and above ranked 10th. This is the first time the United States has slipped out of the top 20 since 2012.

Aquarium Science Program at Western Oregon University
Western Oregon University’s Aquarium Science program received a grant from the Western Foundation Competitive Grants program to create a display aquarium in the lobby of the Natural Science building. Graduates are trained to be an aquarist, which is someone who manages aquariums and takes care of marine and freshwater plants and animals. The 100-gallon aquarium is on loan from OCCC.
