Chips Act Funding for Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing
The package will support more than $100bn (€92.08bn) in US investments from Intel. The money will help pay for equipment, research and development and advanced packaging projects at smaller facilities in Oregon and New Mexico. Intel has had a presence in Ireland for the past 30 years and operates a major chip-making facility in Co Kildare.

Farmgate Cafe to Open in Lismore
FARMGATE, a popular restaurant in East Cork, has said that it will be “starting from scratch” in a new location this May. Owner Sally O’Brien told The Echo that in October of last year, flooding destroyed the premises that she and her mother owned in Midleton. The Farmgate Cafe was one of the many businesses destroyed by Storm Babet.

US Companies in Ireland - The Housing Obstacle
ADVERTISEMENT Housing is seen as the main obstacle for US companies operating in Ireland, according to the American Chambers of Commerce. In the 12 months leading up to January 2024, the national Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) rose by 5.4%. According to recent data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), prices in Dublin were up 4.5%, while prices outside Dublin saw a larger increase of 6.1%.

She is always looking for ways in which technology can improve performing arts, an interest that led to her becoming a finalist for the Hedy Lamarr Achievement Award. When it came time to choose a college, Lee was determined to pursue both engineering and theater simultaneously.
