FARMGATE, a popular restaurant in East Cork, has said that it will be “starting from scratch” in a new location this May. Owner Sally O’Brien told The Echo that in October of last year, flooding destroyed the premises that she and her mother owned in Midleton. The Farmgate Cafe was one of the many businesses destroyed by Storm Babet.

In the 12 months leading up to January 2024, the national Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) rose by 5.4%.
